Creating better employee outcomes through smarter healthcare purchasing decisions
Portsmouth, N.H. – (August 6, 2019) – Validation Institute, an independent, objective, 3rd party organization focused on changing health care, is pleased to announce the Certified Health Value Professionals program will now be available to employer members of the Florida Alliance for Healthcare Value.
“Our Certified Health Value Professional designation was created at the request of healthcare purchasers across the country who found themselves facing higher costs and a need to understand why. We believe that healthcare costs and outcomes can be significantly changed for the better when healthcare purchasers can confidently understand options and negotiate the best outcomes for employees. Validation Institute believes healthcare purchasers can use the “power of the purse” to achieve this. We applaud the Florida Alliance for Healthcare Value for taking this important step for their members” said RD Whitney, CEO, Validation Institute.
The Certified Health Value Professional designation launched in early 2019 and was created by leading industry subject matter experts and in-field practitioners from across the country. The self-paced, online course provides specialized training on 14 critical topics related to healthcare outcomes and costs and is recognized by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) for recertification credit hours.
“In order to continue to shape the future of health care, the Florida Alliance for Healthcare Value wants to insure our members have access to the most current programs and tools and can confidently contribute to controlling healthcare costs and improving the quality of care in Florida. The Certified Health Value Professional program by Validation Institute is an important asset in an employers’ healthcare toolkit,” said Karen van Caulil, PhD, President and CEO of the Florida Alliance for Healthcare Value.
