Intel-GE Care Innovations™ Validation Institute Adds Population Health Scientist to its Validation Team

ROSEVILLE, Calif., June 18, 2015– Intel-GE Care Innovations™ Validation Institute today announced the addition of Linda Riddell to its validation team. Ms. Riddell has achieved Advanced Advisory-Level Certification and is included in the Validation Institute’s list of Certified Professionals. As a validator, she will bring her extensive knowledge of population health metrics and her ability to assess the validity of reports and claims to the Validation Institute’s validation process.
With a Masters Degree in health policy and management from the University of Southern Maine, Muskie School for Public Service, Ms. Riddell is a population health scientist, with training in epidemiology, biostatics, quality measures, and risk finance. She has completed continuing education courses at Johns Hopkins University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ms. Riddell has 20 years of experience in the private sector where she worked with large employer groups and self-insurance groups as an administrator. She also works with public sector health programs, leveraging data sources to measure the impact of wellness and policy changes.
“Population health marketing claims are rife with measures that are not accurate or validated by an unbiased, third party source, making it difficult for purchasers of population health services to determine which ones provide the best outcomes” said Ms. Riddell. “I’m excited to bring my knowledge to the Validation Institute and hope we become the mark of credibility and that buyers will be better equipped to partner with population health vendors that drive real value.”
“We are delighted to have someone with Linda’s outstanding credentials join our validation team,” noted Karissa Price, Executive Director of the Validation Institute. “Her expertise is a tremendous addition to our goal of raising credibility in the healthcare industry.”
