Injecting a Balanced Approach to Weight-Loss Drugs (GLP-1s): How Food as Medicine and Other Lifestyle Changes Can Create Measurable and Sustainable Health Outcomes

Coming Soon

This webinar has been rescheduled and the new date will be announced soon!

The term “game-changer” is often overused, but GLP-1s, more commonly known as “weight-loss drugs,” have taken the country by storm and are producing extraordinary results.

Originally intended to treat Type 2 Diabetes, their efficacy continues to grow as they are now approved to treat obesity and show tremendous promise to potentially treat other conditions.

GLP-1s are here to stay, but understanding their implications, including their side effects and expense, pose big challenges to patients, employers and benefits buyers, healthcare providers, and payers. The medication is only one piece of the puzzle. In order to create sustainable savings and health outcomes, the entire spectrum of healthcare stakeholders will realize a much better long-term scenario for patients if they can collaborate on a holistic health strategy that encompasses lifestyle change, access to nutritious food, and personalized health coaching to prevent or mitigate the progression of obesity-related diseases.

Attend this webinar to explore the strategies for managing the high costs associated with GLP-1 drugs through outcomes-based interventions. Gain valuable insights into the effective implementation of food as medicine programs, aimed at addressing the root causes of obesity, and discuss how to curb escalating healthcare expenses linked to obesity-related issues.

  • Explore opportunities to navigate the era of GLP-1 drugs while controlling costs and promoting a culture of health and well-being
  • Discuss the role of consuming healthy foods to drive long-term health engagement and outcomes improvement
  • Implement personalized health interventions and behavior-change programs to optimize clinical outcomes and maximize savings
  • Review strategies to increase access to nutritious food and mitigate food insecurity challenges
